MA CEO Jaenine Parkinson gave a speech to Wellington Mayor Andrew Little and Councillors today, advocating for a vision for museums and galleries ahead of council amalgamation proposals.

"We see local government amalgamation as a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create an elevated vision for the museum and gallery sector, to improve regional coordination, and build a more compelling case for central government investment in facilities that are currently funded primarily by ratepayers" she said.
