Note that this meeting will be online only. Voting will be held during the meeting via show of hands and by proxy, which is allowed for in our rules.

MA Board Elections 2025

Museums Aotearoa is now operating under a new constitution that was adopted at the 2024 AGM.

  • The MA Board consists of 6-8 people
  • The Board may indicate specific skills which it considers desirable
  • This current Board has opted to have seven people on the Board

Two Board positions will become available at this AGM due to resignations from two incumbent Board members.

One additional Board member is coming to the end of their first three-year term and has nominated to stand for another term, as per Museums Aotearoa’s rules.

Nominations

Two Board positions are open for contention, to be decided at the AGM by voting MA members.

If you wish to be considered for a Board position, please use the Board Nomination Form.

Nominations must be made in writing on the specified form and received by 5.00pm Monday 12 May 2025 by email to: mail@museumsaotearoa.org.nz.

This information will be open for viewing by voting members, on the MA website (behind member login).

Due to our change of constitution in 2024, we no longer have minimum numbers of institutional and individual members as board members. The definition of a member is an employee of an institution that has paid membership fees or an individual who has paid their fee, collectively known as "Ordinary Members".

  • Carolyn Roberts-Thompson - First Term 2023 – 2026
